Beavers Fall Short at Vancouver
Vancouver starter Reggie Casteel had a strong outing against the Portland Beavers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Vancouver is now 55-86, Portland 67-75.

Had Michael Krause not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Krause hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Pioneers.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Krause told the Vancouver Daily News.
