The Mustangs faced a stiff challenge from Brooklyn pitcher Jan Shirazi, but persevered to claim a win at McNichols Stadium. The final score was 4-3. Shirazi went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. The Mustangs bumped their record to 80-59 with this latest triumph.

The Mustangs got a big at-bat from second baseman Tsunayoshi Tanaka. For the game, Tanaka was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Mile High a 4-1 lead.

"We found a way to get it done," Tanaka said.
