Blazers Score Late to Upend Islanders, 5-3
|
Bloomington left fielder Roger Barrett had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Hawaii Islanders, 5-3. Paco Berroa was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 43 of 50 save opportunities. The Blazers own a robust 89-52 mark.
Barrett had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 changeup from Cristoforo Giugino, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Blazers a 5-3 lead. It was the 24th home run of the year for Barrett.
"It feels good to get this one," Barrett told the Bloomington Citizen.
