In a well-pitched game between the Dallas Texans and the South Carolina Bombers, pitcher Dan Edwards was fantastic. The Dallas right-hander was named the player of the game in Dallas's 3-1 win. Adrien Clément was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 31 of 37 save opportunities. Dallas bumps their record to 76-63 with the win.
Though he didn't earn the victory, Edwards kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Dallas offense came through. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 hits and 1 run, while striking out 7.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Edwards.
