Ota Dazzles in Portland Win
In a well-pitched game between the Portland Beavers and the Vancouver Pioneers, pitcher Hajime Ota was superb. The Portland right-hander was named the player of the game in Portland's 3-0 win. Olivier Martin was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 38 save opportunities. The 4th-place Beavers improved to 66-74.
