Islanders Win at Bloomington, 5-0
|
Hawaii pitcher Rodrigo Garza did his part in helping his team beat the Bloomington Blazers, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. David Lidstone was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities. The Islanders have an impressive 85-53 record.
The Islanders got a big at-bat from catcher Douglas Dannattet. For the game, Dannattet went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 59th hit of the season gave Hawaii a 2-0 lead.
