Victory Over Stogies Takes Rubber City to 88-50
|
The Rubber City Rhinos picked up a win at The Humidor, knocking off the Havana Stogies, 5-3. Starting pitcher Bob Ruíz played a key role in the triumph. Ruíz picked up the win for Rubber City, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 14-10. Shinzo Sasaki notched his 44th save in 52 chances.
The Rhinos got a big at-bat from right fielder William Banks. For the game, Banks went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Rubber City a 4-2 lead.
Banks called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The Rhinos bumped their record to 88-50 with this latest triumph.
