The Maple Marauders took Mile High pitcher James Jostle's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Legends Park. The final score had Maple getting past the Mustangs, 2-1. Jostle went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. Maple leads the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division by 13½ games.
Conor Borlase aided the Maple cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Mile High manager Dave Callahan.
