Sasquatch, Takahashi Pin Bad Loss on Hops
|
The Seattle Sasquatch stopped the San Diego Hops, 13-1, at Sick's Stadium. The Sasquatch got a big game from Kazuyoshi Takahashi, who was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 6. Garth Daniels went 5.1 innings for Seattle to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 1 earned run. He scattered 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His record improves to 1-0. The Hops fall to 5-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.
Seattle grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Takahashi, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL with a .400 batting average, hit a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season put the Sasquatch out in front, 3-1.
"We maximized our offense today," said Seattle skipper Carl Best. "That makes everyone's life easier."
