Texans Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Columbus
|
The inspired effort of Columbus designated hitter Doug White was not enough to prevent a 7-5 loss to the Dallas Texans. White went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Texans bumped their record to 72-62 with this latest triumph.
Chandler Lennie went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Dallas. The 22-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Yong-kook Chong. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Lennie said.
