San Francisco shortstop Ruben Estrada was sensational. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Eureka beat the Earthquakes, 5-4. Estrada was named the player of the game despite the loss. Alim bin Umar notched his 10th save in 11 chances. Eureka is now 67-68. San Francisco is 54-80.
Shannon Craft, who is a three-time All-Star, chipped in for Eureka with a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 2 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Craft said.
