Though the conditions were not ideal, the Dallas Texans and Columbus Aces came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Dallas Texans topped the Columbus Aces, 5-1, in Roberto Clemente League action at Central Park Downtown Stadium. The player of the game was Dallas pitcher Paul Johnston. The Texans bumped their record to 71-62 with this latest triumph.

The Texans got a big at-bat from shortstop Rodrigo Quiñones. For the game, Quiñones went 2-5 with 2 singles. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 118th hit of the season gave Dallas a 2-1 lead.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Johnston told the Dallas Bulletin.
