The Jacksonville Jacks went down to defeat to James Thompson and his Rubber City teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Rhinos. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Rhinos.
In the top of the ninth, Harold Planter stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Jacks were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Shinzo Sasaki made a terrific pitch and Planter struck out. Gone was the dream of a Jacksonville comeback.
