Late Rally by Grays Secures Win
|
The Georgia Grays downed the Jacksonville Jacks, 6-5, at Skellington Stadium. The Grays were led by Tadataka Yoshino, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 times. Georgia reliever Carl Bragg was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Jason Hunter took the loss. Even with the win, the Grays have a dismal 45-87 record.
Jarek Domaszewski, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, chipped in for Georgia with a solo home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Domaszewski.
