Allen Cox Goes Distance in Win
|
Hawaii Islanders starter Allen Cox turned in a top-notch performance against the Quebec Armada at Aloha Stadium. The result was a win for the Islanders, 5-1. Hawaii occupies second place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division at 79-52.
Cox gave Hawaii a solid start. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 9 innings.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Hawaii manager Leland Ray. "It's usually not just one thing."
