Victory Pushes Rhinos Record to 83-48
|
The Rubber City Rhinos defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-3, at The Rubber Grounds today. Leading the charge for Rubber City was left fielder Raul Hernandes. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Vincent Vickers picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-11. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. Shinzo Sasaki saved it for Rubber City.
Hernandes had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Rhinos went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hernandes told reporters after the game.
The Rhinos own a robust 83-48 mark.
