The Jacksonville Jacks defeated the Georgia Grays, 5-2, at Skellington Stadium today. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was center fielder Michael Pickersgill. He was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. John Holmes picked up the win, improving his season record to 10-8. He struck out 0 in 6 innings. Jacksonville is now 61-69, while Georgia is 44-87.
Pickersgill had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Jacks went on to win.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Pickersgill. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
