Matt Clark did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Hawaii Islanders from losing, 5-4, to the Quebec Armada at Aloha Stadium. Clark went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Quebec improves to 80-52 with the win. They lead their division by 4½ games.
Kichisaburo Tanaka helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Quebec a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Tanaka. "And not try to do too much."
