Seattle Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Maple right fielder Angel Barajas was instrumental in his team's 3-0 win over the Seattle Sasquatch. Barajas, who is tied for 5th in the TML with a .556 slugging percentage, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Marauders. Khurshid Durrani picked up the win, improving his season record to 11-5. He struck out 5 in 5.2 innings. Maple leads the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division by 17˝ games.
Barajas had a key at-bat for Maple early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and gave Maple an early 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Barajas told reporters after the game.
