Tsu has 3 hit night, Stogies Move to 92-39
|
The Havana Stogies bested the Eureka Hornets by a score of 7-2, with designated hitter Shi-kai Tsu getting the main credit. On the day, Tsu went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Stogies. Camilo Pascual, the winner, improved to 6-2. He held Eureka to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Havana has an impressive 92-39 record.
Tsu contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Havana in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Tsu took a fastball from Pat Sheffield and stroked the home run to right. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Stogies to leap in front, 3-1.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Tsu said after the game.
