Stevens Helps Armada Run Win Streak to 6
|
The Quebec Armada topped the Portland Beavers by the score of 12-3, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Howard Stevens. Stevens was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Armada. Quebec has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
The Armada got a big at-bat from center fielder Sok-yung An. For the game, An was 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 70th hit of the season gave Quebec a 4-2 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Stevens said.
