The Bloomington Blazers topped the Columbus Aces, 12-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Arson Arena. The player of the game was Bloomington shortstop Fernando Franco. The Blazers have an impressive 80-50 record.

Franco had a key at-bat for Bloomington early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 24th home run of the season and gave Bloomington an early 3-0 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Franco. "And not try to do too much."
