Pérez 3-3, Rhinos Move to 11-2

The first-place Rubber City Rhinos took on the Portland Beavers at The Rubber Grounds.
Rubber City center fielder Pedro Pérez made his presence felt in the 11-4 Rhinos triumph over the Portland Beavers. Pérez went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was John Cosman, who threw 86 pitches over 5.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 9 hits.
Pérez had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Rhinos went on to win.
"Losing is easy," said Pérez. "Winning is hard."
Rubber City, now 11-2, has played well in the early going.
