López Sensational for Texans
|
Dallas right-hander Tony López made an effective start against the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, leading his team to a 3-1 win. Adrien Clément was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 32 save opportunities. The Texans bumped their record to 67-59 with this latest triumph.
López's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. López, who is rated as the 24th best prospect by BNN, goes to 9-6 on the year with 134 strikeouts.
"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said López.
