Park Helps Marauders Run Win Streak to 7
|
The Maple Marauders beat the Hawaii Islanders, 4-1, at Legends Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Jae-hoon Park, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Khurshid Durrani got credit for the win, improving to 10-5. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 6 innings. Hariz Sahir was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 13 save opportunities.
Maple took a 4-0 lead on Park's 23rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Keith Martin in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Maple to the win.
"We take it day by day here," said Park, "and today was a good one for us."
The winning streak has now reached 7 games for the Marauders.
