Great Effort by Bombers C Dela Not Enough in 11-8 Loss
South Carolina catcher Jesús Dela was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Maple beat the Bombers, 11-8. Dela was named the player of the game despite the loss. Maple reliever Carlos Alonzo was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Daryl Feaviour took the loss. Maple has now won 5 games in a row.

The Marauders got a big at-bat from catcher Motonobu Yamasaki. For the game, Yamasaki was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 31st home run of the season gave Maple a 7-4 lead.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jesús Alfaro said.
