Victory Pushes Rhinos Record to 80-45
|
The Rubber City Rhinos did just enough to secure a 6-5 victory over the Portland Beavers at Waterfront Park. Nobody did more than center fielder Aidan Turgoose, who captured player of the game honors. Shinzo Sasaki earned his 39th save in 45 chances. The Rhinos own a robust 80-45 mark.
Turgoose had a key at-bat for Rubber City early in the game. With a runner on 3rd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave Rubber City an early 3-1 lead.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Turgoose, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
