Aces Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Aces grabbed a win, 5-4, at Central Park Downtown Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Jacksonville pitcher Jason Hunter. Hunter went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 42-80 record.
The Aces got a big at-bat from left fielder Greg Holder. For the game, Holder was 2-6 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the 13th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 33rd hit of the season gave Columbus a 5-4 lead.
