Beavers Top Texans in Extras
|
Portland and Dallas took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Portland beat Dallas at Waterfront Park, escaping with a 8-7 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Luke Riviere, who earned player of the game honors. He went 3 for 5 with 2 triples. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win was Jake Adkins's in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Adrien Clément took the loss for Dallas.
Portland designated hitter Carlos Campos delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"We came out aggressive," said Beavers manager John Harrison. "We came out swinging the bats."
The Beavers improved to 61-63.
