Multi-HR Game for Harris in 5-3 Win
|
The game between South Carolina and San Francisco is in the books, despite a little rain.
Shawn Harris was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the San Francisco Earthquakes. The right fielder was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the South Carolina Bombers. Christian Wallace was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 22 of 26 save opportunities.
With South Carolina trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Harris hit a fastball from Edgardo Sáenz for a 2-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Bombers ahead, 3-2.
Harris attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Bombers bumped their record to 70-52 with this latest triumph.
