|
Maple starter Héctor Zúñiga had a strong outing against the Bloomington Blazers at Legends Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Zúñiga went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 13-4. Maple is now 89-31, 14 games up in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Gerard Leeder put Maple in front, 3-0, when he took Oliver Romero downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the third. It was his 22nd home run of the season.
"Héctor is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.
