Ghandi goes 3-for-4, Leads Toreros to Win
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Kajal Ghandi, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 5-3. Ghandi went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Toreros. Chris Wheeler earned his 9th save in 12 chances. With the win, Cabo San Lucas goes to 46-75, while the Bombers fall to 68-52.
Ghandi contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Cabo San Lucas in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Ghandi took a fastball from Daryl Wyles and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Toreros to leap in front, 4-3.
Ghandi told a Cabo San Lucas Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
