Earthquakes Get Road Win, 7-4
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes picked up a win at Arson Arena, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 7-4. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Lloyd Huggins, who played a pivotal role in the win. Eric Markle notched his 5th save in 9 chances. San Francisco, now 48-70, holds 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Júlio Solís aided the San Francisco cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Solís told a San Francisco Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
