The Eureka Hornets defeated the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 4-3, in Thurman Munson League action at The Nest, with Eureka pitcher Prabodh Nimbalkar named player of the game. Eureka reliever Tom Wilson got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Robbie Hogan was tagged with the loss. The Hornets have now won 6 straight.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Ka-fei Bi came to bat in the bottom of the 11th. Facing Oklahoma City pitcher Robbie Hogan, he hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Eureka on top, 4-3.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Nimbalkar said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
