The Seattle Sasquatch topped the Dallas Texans, 6-5, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. The player of the game was Seattle catcher Christopher Denve. Matt Nolan got the win, improving to 8-6. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. Even with the win, the Sasquatch have a dismal 38-79 record.
Denve had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a full count sinker from Maximino Pato, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Sasquatch a 4-2 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Denve.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Denve. "And not try to do too much."
