Texans Score Late, Upend Sasquatch, 9-8
|
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Scott Stone, the Seattle Sasquatch suffered a 9-8 loss to the Dallas Texans. Stone hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Adrien Clément got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Seattle, at 2-10, has had a dismal start to the season.
Tom Lampley was the walk-off hero for Dallas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Texans right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Lampley.
