Marauders Topple Earthquakes with Late Rally
The Maple Marauders beat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-3, at Golden Gate Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Jae-hoon Park, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Maple reliever Minoru Aoki, now 8-2. The loser was Nicolas Joubert. Hariz Sahir converted his 7th save in 9 tries.

Park had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Nicolas Joubert, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Marauders a 5-3 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Park.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Park told reporters after the game.

Maple is now 84-30, 11 games up in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
