Rhinos Lose to Republic, 5-3

So Cal and Rubber City took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The So Cal Republic topped the Rubber City Rhinos, 5-3, at The Rubber Grounds. So Cal shortstop Jorge Martínez earned player of the game honors. He banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 1 runs. Nicholas Winslow got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 5.1 innings. Getting the save was Pin-zhen Au, his 3rd.
Early in the game, Martínez had a run-scoring double for So Cal. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Republic on top, 1-0.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Martínez told the So Cal Times.
Losses have been rare for the Rhinos, who are now 10-2.
