Sasquatch Slip Past Brooklyn, 3-2

The Sasquatch grabbed a win, 3-2, at Sick's Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Brooklyn pitcher Clarence Byrd. Byrd went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Kirk Redman got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Even with the win, the Sasquatch have a dismal 36-75 record.
The Sasquatch beat the Black Knights with some clutch hitting. The triple by Shigochiyo Sato in the bottom of the 11th is a good example. With two down, Sato gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he came through with the big hit.
"It was a solid team effort," said Sato after the game.
