Loss to Tornadoes Extends San Francisco Losing Streak
The Kansas City Tornadoes stopped the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-5, at Golden Gate Park. The Tornadoes got a big game from Ross Stephenson, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Paul Groulx, credited with the win, is now 4-6. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. Norberto Barrón notched his 6th save in 6 chances.

Stephenson had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Nicolas Joubert, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Tornadoes a 7-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Stephenson.
