Marauders Win Streak Now at 8
|
The Maple Marauders topped the Eureka Hornets, 7-1, with right fielder Angel Barajas playing a big role. Barajas went 3-5 with 3 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Marauders in the win. Marcos León, credited with the win, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Marauders, at 80-29, have now won 8 straight.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jae-hoon Park. For the game, Park was 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 14th double of the season gave Maple a 1-0 lead.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Maple manager Jesús Alfaro.
