|
Jacksonville starter John Holmes pitched effectively against the Portland Beavers at Skellington Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. The winner was Juan Martínez in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Rolf Pals took the loss. Bryce Hesketh was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.
Michael Pickersgill hit a bases-clearing triple off Rolf Pals in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Jacks in front, 3-2. Pickersgill had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 3.
