Loss to Mustangs Extends San Francisco Losing Streak
San Francisco got a terrific performance from designated hitter Juan López, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mile High Mustangs. Mile High won the McNichols Stadium contest, 7-5. López was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Mile High reliever Doyle Sullivan picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Eric Markle was saddled with the loss. This loss makes it 6 in a row for San Francisco.

Had Denzel Kemsley not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Kemsley hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Mustangs.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kemsley told the Mile High Chronicle.
