Bombers Topple Tornadoes with Late Rally
|
The South Carolina Bombers defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 3-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Debris Field. Zhao-ying Gai received player of the game honors. The 7-year veteran went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Christian Wallace got the save, his 15th in 18 chances. The Bombers bumped their record to 60-47 with this latest triumph.
Baber Davi made it 3-2, South Carolina, in the top of the eighth when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Bombers win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Gai said.
