Hawaii designated hitter Gilberto Jiménez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Islanders dropped a 9-6 decision to So Cal at House of the Republic. Jiménez was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The first-place Republic have won 7 straight.
The Republic got a big at-bat from first baseman Jong-min Kim Jr.. For the game, Kim Jr. went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
