Rook Hits 2 home runs in Texans Win
Dallas and Brooklyn took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Dallas Texans beat the Brooklyn Black Knights, 13-3, at Blue Ivy Stadium. The Texans got a fine performance from left fielder Gart Rook, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The winner was Paul Johnston, who threw 105 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits.

Rook had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Texans went on to win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Rook.

The Texans bumped their record to 56-48 with this latest triumph.
