Marauders Top Earthquakes in Extras
|
The Maple Marauders defeated the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-7. Earning player of the game honors was shortstop Jorge Zamora, who was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win was Justin Rogers's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eddie Rosado took the loss for San Francisco. The Earthquakes fall to 5-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2033 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Maple third baseman Dustin McMahon, facing Eddie Rosado, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Marauders the 8-7 win.
"This game tested our mettle," said McMahon.
