Tornadoes Lose to Pioneers, 5-3
|
The Vancouver Pioneers and Kansas City Tornadoes completed their game despite the rain.
The Vancouver Pioneers dealt the Kansas City Tornadoes a 5-3 loss at Debris Field. Dan Rollins was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 5th-place Pioneers improved to 43-61.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the second inning. That's when left fielder Yoshiro Allen, who is rated as the 43rd best prospect by BNN, drew a walk. The Pioneers went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Allen told the Vancouver Daily News.
