The So Cal Republic downed the Vancouver Pioneers, 5-3, at House of the Republic. Zeus Mayhem led the way, going 2-for-4 for So Cal. Pin-zhen Au converted his 37th save in 39 tries. The first-place Republic, at 75-27, now lead their division by 12½ games.
Héctor Cabrera drove in one run for So Cal. The 2030 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Jesús Ramos. It was his 58th RBI of the season.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Mayhem told the So Cal Times.
