Sasquatch Get Past Dallas for 5-4 Win
|
The Seattle Sasquatch defeated the Dallas Texans, 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Sean Clare, who was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Matt Nolan got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 12 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Gabresilassie Cherono closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Seattle, had it not been for Eddy Jacobse, the 29-year old left fielder . Jacobse contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Seattle up, 3-0.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Jacobse.
The Sasquatch, with just their 2nd win in 11 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
